Our Thrift Store Painting of the Week is “Hazel Herring’s Universe” by none other than Hazel Herring. Nothing snarky to say here–just a nice amateur painting in lovely colors.

This week’s Thrift Store Painting of the Week is Farrah Fawcet Palomino, a painting of a horse on metal board. Behold the stately elegance of the stance, the stocky neck, and the amazing gravity-defying hairstyle(s) of the majestic beast. A month or so ago, we saw an almost identically-posed painting of the same subject matter at an antique store and the thought crossed our mind that this was maybe another copy. Maybe we’ll never know… Psst — if you do know, let us know will-ya?

Something weird has happened to Hoss (acromegaly?) and Little Joe is, well very, very little, but the essential essence of Bonanza is captured in this stunning oil on masonite painting, titled “Where’s Adam?”
